Today I started the Freedom Affiliate Launch course by Jade & Kev — an Australian couple whose lives affiliate marketing changed. They were able to leave their 9-5 jobs solely based on their affiliate income, and are now living the life of their dreams.
(Note that this blog is not meant as a guide of the course’s contents, but just a brief description of the topics covered and my views on them.)
I sat down and finished Module 1 - Foundations & Mindset - which was very much what it sounds like. Jade is the main instructor of the course, and in these first few lessons she goes through the following:
What a time freedom framework is (basically a system that allows you to separate your income from your time, allowing you to later scale your income without putting in extra time).
The general steps for affiliate marketing (finding programs, choosing a niche etc.)
A bonus video on how to channel your energy into convincing yourself that you deserve this.
Another bonus video on getting past any harmful preconceived notions around money that you’ve built growing up.
A guided meditation around rewiring yourself so as to not be set back by other people’s opinions.
Another guided meditation around seeing money in a more positive light, from an abundance rather than a scarcity mindset.
While the technical aspect of this module was limited to only a brief overview of things I had already pretty much picked up on from my prior online research of the field, the mindset training was very new to me.
There was a lot of emphasis on manifesting the future and imagining myself after having accomplished my financial freedom goals, and to start feeling the energy of that success right from the get-go.
I usually try to avoid giving myself the dopamine rush of feeling that I’ve achieved something before I actually achieve it, since that diminishes the motivation to still go ahead and do the thing. This is one of the reasons I didn’t tell any of my friends or family I was trying this.
On my own, I wouldn’t have bothered with this kind of mental preparation, but I’d committed myself to thoroughly experiencing the whole course, so I went along with it and even completed all of the journalling homework with the prompts provided.
By the end of the module, I was feeling a lot more positive and hopeful about the whole idea, actually believing for the first time that a regular person like me could live the kind of life Jade and Kev are living. I decided I wasn’t going to back down or give up until I saw results, and in this highly energised state, I also noted down some ideas around expansion that came to me.
Linked in the resource material of the training was also Simon Sinek’s TED talk, How great leaders inspire action, in which he teaches the idea that people don’t buy the WHAT of a product, they buy the WHY. I found this a great tip for when I would market products in the future, and started reading his book Find Your Why for more wisdom and inspiration.
Lastly, I contacted Jade via Instagram to ask whether it would be okay to document my process of going through her course on social media. I had been keeping notes of my daily progress, but figured that it would be wise to get official approval before I posted content about their course. Katja, their social media manager, responded promptly with a ‘yes’.

Day 2 ended with me feeling positive and ready to keep going.
